Drug Retailers are in the Real Estate Business

The fact that they are retailing drugs at three to four times the world market prices should be reason enough not to shop there.

The large chains of drug retailers are not at all interested in your health or well being. Those folks who were selling first aid and filling prescriptions have been killed off by corporate entities that have no vested interest in your health or your well being  or even in the well being of a community.

Their raison d'etre is to turn over real estate. They buy properties no matter the actual profit to be made on the sales of mostly junk, having drawn you there because you have a presciption to fill. No, the reason they buy these properties is to milk them dry as a retail space and then to sell the property when those margins diminish on the drugs, etc.

Their investors are credit unions, labor unions, employee pensions, private equity funds, who also do not care where their money goes as long as there is a plus on the investment. Is it any wonder that we have a sick health care system? You know who I mean as you can count them on one hand. The fact that they are retailing drugs at three to four times the world market prices should be reason enough not to shop there.

They are not at all interested in a record of service to you, as they will bend any rules to suit their own devices and to drain you dry. Shame on them and shame on all of us for tolerating this egregious business from Rhode Island and elsewhere.
