Louisa Lake: Hidden Jewel of Milford
Visiting the lake for the first time this season, had me thinking: Why don't I take advantage of such a location more often?
Probably the most beautiful and noteworthy location Milford has to offer lies directly off Dilla Street. Yes, I am talking about the wondrous Louisa Lake, a perfect place to begin and end the day, especially in the summer and spring months.
At the start and end of these warm months, the lake and its surroundings have begun to bloom and the notorious Canada Geese have made their entrance. Visiting the lake for the first time this season, had me thinking: Why don’t I take advantage of such a location more often? And to be honest, I had no answer.
Living merely minutes from the lake, I couldn’t think of any reason why I wasn’t enjoying such a perfect gateway. In fact, it was almost ridiculous that I hadn’t visited earlier!

Regardless, the lake and the newly expanded bike trail complement each other perfectly. One may go for a nice walk or picnic with the lake posing as a background. What’s not to love! So on that note, why not take a visit, and explore this hidden jewel Milford has to offer?
