Last year's meeting between Milford and North Attleboro in North Attleboro ended 1-0 with Milford coming out on top. This year, visiting North Attleboro was the victor. It took 10 full innings as well as the international tie breaker rule to finally put an end to this one.
The international tie breaker rule starts the inning with a runner on second base. Both pitchers were stingy with the hits. Shannon Smith gave up 1 hit and North Attleboro’s pitcher gave up 2 (Shannon Smith and Taylor LeBrun both had singles for Milford).
After some great defensive plays by both teams in the extra innings, North Attleboro was able to plate a run in the top of the tenth and Milford was not.
