Milford Seniors end the Regular Season in a Blaze of Glory
Milford over Shrewsbury 4-0
The final regular season game, known as Senior Day, ended the way it
should, with the Seniors coming through. Shannon Smith pitched a 3 hit, 14
strikeout complete game and had 2 rbi and Caroline Fairbanks smashed a 2 run
home run to power the Scarlet Hawks to a 4-0 victory over visiting Shrewsbury.
In a short yet touching pre-game ceremony the 5 Milford seniors were honored
along with their parents. Flowers and gifts along with many hugs, tears and
smiles were all included. The festivities however did nothing to slow Milford’s
winning ways. Hitters for Milford: Sam Bonvino (single), Lauren Hanna (single),
Shannon Smith (2-3, 2 rbi), Caroline Fairbanks (2-3, hr, 2 rbi).
