Milford Varsity Softball over Coyle & Cassidy 4-0

Caroline Fairbanks remained red hot as she led the Scarlet Hawks to victory
yesterday going 2-3 with 3 RBI. Shannon Smith (double) also remained solid on
the mound with her third no-hitter of the season and 15 strikeouts. Coyle
Cassidy had only 2 base runners on the day. One reaching first and advancing to
second on an overthrow. With no outs, Smith battled hard and retired the side
stranding the runner at second. CC’s only other runner reached first on a hit by
pitch in the 6th inning but was gunned down stealing second by Taylor LeBrun to
Sam Bonvino (Single) with the tag. Lauren Hanna (2 hits, rbi) and Lizzie
Stallone(single) also had hits for Milford.

Milford plays Wednesday at 11 am in Sharon and again in Hopkinton at 12:30
on Friday.
