Following the Milford Rotary Club’s Foundation Recognition luncheon held on December 18th at Restaurant 45, all recipients paused for a photo with Doug Detweiler, (back row) District Governor Elect for Rotary District 7910.

The Rotary Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs.

In 1986 the Foundation launched a program know as PolioPlus in an effort to achieve a Polio Free World. Since the program’s inception in 1985 more than two billion children have received oral polio vaccine. To date, 209 countries, territories and areas around the world are polio-free.
