The Worst Intersection in Milford

On Nov. 19, Mary MacDonald posted asking readers to vote on their thoughts for the "scariest" intersection in Milford.

Now, the poll was not scientific, but I believe the results are accurate. The results, you ask?

55 percent of voters (45 percent points more than the intersection in second-place) chose Prospect Street/Route 140 at Water Street as the scariest. I am here to say that this intersection is the most dangerous in Milford.

Over the summer, I worked at DCR's , which is just up the street from the hospital on Prospect Street. Because I often went out for lunch, I drove through this terrifying intersection many times a day—4 or 5 on average, I'd say.

So, as I was leaving the house, with my camera equipment (I was going to Worcester to gather information about another blog post, to be published at some point over the next week or two), I got a call from my uncle. He owns a building right on the Hopedale side of the intersection, and as he was driving home from there, he saw an motor vehicle crash. Knowing how I love Patch, he called me up and referenced the poll in our conversation.

As says, "," I drove to the intersection and snapped a few photos. Well, more like 74. I am a photographer, and therefore shutter-happy, after all.
