Unity Through a Can and Bottle Drive

Over the past few years, Parents For Music organization has hosted a bi-annual can and bottle drive to raise money for the music department.

The success of this fundraiser has always been substantial, but last weekend was especially so. Raising more than $300, considering the rain clouds looming the entirety of the day, the fundraiser was fantastic. The fundraiser itself would have been nothing without the help of Parents For Music, and the students themselves.

In my opinion, being a member of the music department, this had to be one of my favorite fundraisers. The accord between the parents, the department, and students coming together brought a sense of unity, unity that has been one of my favorite parts of this department. This fundraiser was no exception. The successful department would be nothing without the involvement of parents, students, and of course, all of those who dropped off bottles last weekend!
