Greater Milford Community Chorus Invites Vocalists to Join the 2026 Fall/Winter Season

The Greater Milford Community Chorus (GMCC) is officially calling all local singers to join its upcoming 2026 Fall/Winter musical season. Whether you are an experienced choral singer or simply love blending your voice in harmony, the chorus offers a welcoming space to share your passion for music.

The new season officially launches on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Memorial Hall Cultural Center, located at 30 School Street, Milford. Registration opens at 6:30 PM, with the first rehearsal running from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Weekly rehearsals will continue every Monday evening at the same time and location.

For potential new members who want to experience the group before committing, GMCC is hosting three Open Rehearsals. Interested singers are invited to attend and sit in on weekly sessions on August 31, September 14, and September 21.

While formal auditions are not required to join, the chorus asks that members possess a fundamental understanding of music, pitch matching, and a firm commitment to attending the weekly rehearsals to benefit the group's collective sound. Members are from numerous towns across the Greater Milford and MetroWest regions.

The seasonal membership registration fee is $25. There is also a $20 cash-only music deposit, which is fully refundable when clean, unmarked sheet music is returned at the conclusion of the concert season. Returning members from the previous season are asked to arrive early on the opening night to return their past music. Current members can already access digital PDF files of the upcoming repertoire via the Member’s Only portal on the chorus website.

The hard work of the rehearsal season will culminate in three high-profile winter performances held in the Grand Ballroom Auditorium at Milford Town Hall, 52 Main Street, Milford:

·GMCC Holiday Concert (Evening): Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 7:30 PM

·GMCC Holiday Concert (Matinee): Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 1:30 PM

·Holiday Pops with the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra: Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 7:30 PM
