St Brendan Parish

St. Brendan Parish is thrilled to announce our 62nd Annual Fall Fair will take place this year on Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th.Fair hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.The church is located at 384 Hartford Avenue (Rte. 126) in Bellingham, MA.
The Fall Fair has something for everyone. Some of the highlights include: White Elephant (think Yard Sale), Jewelry, Handicrafts, Holiday Crafts, Books, Religious items, and the ever-popular Penny Social. Stop by the Kitchen for lunch or a snack. The Bake Table offers delicious baked goods and other goodies. There will be children’s games, crafts, and always a surprise or two. Raffle Row offers BIG Raffle tickets, sports tickets, Silent Auction items, and much more.
The Fall Fair is the major fundraiser for the parish. Proceeds go towards parish operations, facilities maintenance, and improvements, as well as supporting local and national charities. The Fair is FUN for the ENTIRE FAMILY!Come one, come all and have a wonderful time. We look forward to seeing you there!

Families can enjoy an expanded Kids Zone with free games, face tattoos, and a Secret Santa shopping area, plus delicious breakfast pastries and a freshly made luncheon available while supplies last (featuring homemade chili, fresh baked apple pie, hotdogs &amp; more) will be available for purchase. Local author and broadcaster Ted Reinstein celebrates the 250th anniversary of the nation with a new talk, Greetings from Breed’s Hill: Fact &amp; Folklore on America’s 250th.&nbsp; Just a few lesser-known stories behind the more famous ones from New England’s Revolutionary War period. It’s a fun and informative foray through fact vs. fiction.
About Ted:
Since 1995, Ted Reinstein has been a reporter for Boston/WCVB’s celebrated&nbsp;“Chronicle,” the nation’s longest-running, locally produced nightly newsmagazine. He&nbsp;has been a contributing member of the WCVB editorial board since 2010.&nbsp;&nbsp;Elsewhere on television, Ted has hosted specials for the Discovery Channel and HGTV.&nbsp;&nbsp;For the Travel Channel's photo/adventure series, “FreezeFrame,” he explored Hawaii's&nbsp;volcanoes, the caves of Puerto Rico, and the South Pacific islands of Tahiti.&nbsp;&nbsp;In 2002, he was part of a Chronicle team that received a prestigious National DuPont&nbsp;Columbia Broadcast Journalism Award for Chronicle’s coverage of Boston’s Big Dig&nbsp;project. In 2018, he received an Emmy Award for his story on the “Good Night Lights”&nbsp;phenomenon in Providence, Rhode Island.&nbsp;His first book, New England Notebook: One Reporter, Six States, Uncommon Stories,&nbsp;was selected by National Geographic Traveler as one of its “Best Picks.” He’s also the&nbsp;author of Wicked Pissed: New England’s Most Famous Feuds, Before Brooklyn: The&nbsp;Unsung Heroes Who Helped Break Baseball’s Color Barrier, and co-author, with his&nbsp;wife, Anne-Marie, of New England’s General Stores: Exploring an American Classic.&nbsp;
His newest book, Travels Through the Heart and Soul of New England was released in&nbsp;July 2024 by Globe Pequot Press.&nbsp;
Ted is a native of Winthrop, Massachusetts, and lives with his family just west of&nbsp;Boston.
