Depot Street Tavern, D'Angelo's, The Schools: Milford Health Inspections

Milford's health department conducted multiple inspections during March of 2017.

MILFORD, MA—The following inspections were supplied by the Milford Board of Health:

  • Milford Catholic School 3-6-17 11 E. Main St. Violations here include the need for additional visible thermometers and cover fruit cups in the Coke cooler.
  • Memorial School 12-14 Walnut 3-3-17 No violations here.
  • Stacey Middle School 66 School St. 3-3-17 No violations here.
  • Brookside School 110 Congress St. 3-2-17 One violation here. Cover one food product in the Traulsen 4 door cooler.
  • D’Angelo’s 195 E. Main St. 3-1-17 Area where mops and mop sink is need to be cleaned disinfected organized, and clean the floor and stainless steel shelf under the main line cooking equipment.
  • Dairy Queen 190 West St. 3-2-17 2 small spill one each under the soda systems in the basement, and one food product not covered in the Silver King 2 door cooler.
  • Domino’s 2 Cape Rd. 3-2-17 One blue tray of dough product not covered in the walk in cooler, repost sigh for employee hand sink in the restroom, refill paper towel for the employee hand sink nest to washing machines.
  • Cornerstones 11 Birch St. 3-6-17 Violations here include the following. Clean the edges of the stainless steel utility draw under the food slicer, keep spray bottles of cleaning agents away from utensils and equipment this critical violation corrected immediately, three trays of hamburgers not covered in the walk in cooler, and clean steel shelving including equipment cups etc. from the fruit juice machine to the employee hand sink.
  • Woodland School 10 N. Vine St. 3-2-17 No violations here.
  • Milford H. S. 31 W. Fountain St. 3-1-17 Violations here include the need to store food product upon receiving, clean floor in the dry goods area esp. corners and edges, and do not store plastic containers of food on top of another container of food that is not covered.
  • Angelo Pirri Seafood (Mobile Seafood Truck) No violations here.
  • Depot St Tavern 45 Depot St. 3-1-17 Violations here include the following. Freezer in the basement needs to be defrosted, one container of bread product not covered in the single door freezer, need to clean really good around the dish machine including the floor area and continue to the area of the three bay sink and the hand sink, need new cutting boards for the two prep coolers, scrub and clean the charbroiler, and two fryers, empty all three stainless steel draws where utensils and equipment and odds and ends are stored clean and sanitize equipment and utensils replace, do not store ice scoop in the ice at the bar. Re-inspection scheduled. Re-inspected on 3-9-17 and found violation corrected.
  • Countryside Health Care 1 Countryside Drive 3-8-17 There were 2 pans removed from service due to excessive wear, stove tops inside where the burners are need to be cleaned, and milk cooler not in use and will not be put in use needs to be removed as it is not needed.
  • Dunkin Donuts 146 S. Main St. 3-10-17 Clean interior of the large Baxter convection oven, store plastic forks so that all handles face the user, and clean stainless steel surface under the coffee station.
  • Dunkin Donuts 31 Main St. 3-10-17 Violations here include the following. Clean interior including the base of the large Blodgett convection oven, clean the stainless steel outer edge that the door rest on for the ice machine, Critical violation included the need for hotter hot water at three hand sinks this included both rest rooms and the hand sink at the drive up window. This critical violation was corrected before the end of the inspection.
  • Fairfield Inn & Suites 1 Fortune Blvd. 3-15- 17 No violations here.
  • Johnny Jacks 220 Main St. 3-15-17 Violations here include the following. Need to defrost the basement standalone freezer due to heavy frost buildup, 6 burner stove top needs a good scrubbing/cleaning, exterior of the three door cooler no longer in use needs the exterior cleaned (doors and handles, store utensils in the two stai9nless steel containers with the handles facing the user, clean interior and exterior of the small 2 door prep cooler at the main line this includes the door hinges gaskets guides through cleaning, and clean the plastic container use3d to store silverware. A re-inspection is scheduled. Re-inspected on 3-23-17 and found violations corrected.
  • Hunan Gourmet 130 Main St. 3-15-17 Violations here include the following. Cover foods and clean the racks in the walk in cooler, clean the 2 burner stove top, and food products in the Coke cooler need to be covered. Re-inspections scheduled. Re-inspected on 3-22-17 and found violations corrected.
  • McDonald’s 139 S. Main St. 3-24-17 No violations here.
  • McDonald’s 143 Medway Rd. 3-14-17 No soap in 4 dispensers for hand sinks in various area of the kitchen, ice scoop/ice container cannot be stored in the ice machine, need additional thermometers where missing or buried, and clean/sweep floor in both the men’s and ladies restroom. A re-inspection is scheduled. Re-inspected and found all violations corrected.
  • Marty’s Kitchen 178 E. Main St. 3-24-17 Clean and sanitize the manual can opener, and keep hand washing sink open and available for its use.
  • Lin’s Garden 206 E. Main St. 3-23-17 Violations here include the following. Cover or remove the raw wood surface next to the food slicer this is not a cleanable surface that can be sanitized, clean and disinfect the employee restroom, clean and sanitize all the sinks (the three bay sink was being done during the inspection), clean and sanitize the stainless steel wall next to the hand sink at the back of the kitchen, there is a lot of general housekeeping to be done here, in the walk in cooler clean the food service racks the cooling unit itself so it looks like the walk in freezer. A re-inspection is scheduled. Re-inspect on 3-30-17 and found violations corrected. New racks on order for the walk in cooler.
