Diana Haynes Wins Board Of Health: See Official Milford Election 2026 Results

MILFORD, MA — The official winners are in following Milford's 2026 Annual Town Election, featuring several key races.

The race for one three-year term on the Board of Health was the only contested seat in this year's election. Official results sent to Patch by the Town Clerk revealed that Diana M. Haynes edged Rosemary Cerquiera by 62 votes to secure the position.

Haynes garnered 529 votes, while Cerquiera took 467 votes, and Scott Vecchiolla secured 95 votes, according to official results.

Election Day, Voter Turnout

On Tuesday, Milford residents votes on the Select Board, Tree Warden/Gypsy Moth Superintendent, Town Clerk, Highway Surveyor, Board of Assessors, Town Moderator, School Committee, Sewer Commissioner, Park Commissioner, Housing Authority, Board of Library Trustees, Planning Board, Vernon Grove Trustee and Water Commissioner and one contested race for an open seat on the Board of Health.

Voting was held from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Senior Center, Italian American Veterans Hall, and the Milford Portuguese Club, depending on precinct.

There were 1,152 votes cast, which represent only six percent of the town's 18,782 registered voters.
