Dilla Street Accident Jams Up Traffic
Traffic was rerouted as repair crews fix a utility pole hit by a driver.

A driver that struck a utility pole late Monday night has left commuters looking for alternate routes Tuesday morning.
Late last night, police responded to the crash that took down a pole near 31 Dilla Street. After crashing through the pole, the vehicle came to a rest off the road in a nearby brook.
The operator of the vehicle, a 29-year-old from Milford, was ok after the crash and received a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police and repair crews were at the scene all night, with the road remaining closed through the morning and afternoon. Police say thousands were detoured through downtown due to the road’s closure
By 10:45 a.m., the car was removed, two poles were replaced, power restored to the area. The road was completely reopened by the early evening.
