Dunkin Droppins: Video at Local Dunkin Donuts Goes Viral

A video of an employee purportedly dropping a tray of donuts at a local Dunkin Donuts is making the rounds on social media.

Mendon, MA — You never know when your food may have hit the floor.

A video flying around the social media machine on Thursday shows an employee apparently dropping a full tray of donuts on the floor and later putting them back on the shelf for sale. WHDH-TV reports that a former employee shared the surveillance video.

Shared numerous times, the video first appeared on Massachusetts Memes, the poster stating it was taken at the Mendon Dunkin Donuts on Uxbridge Street. Titled "This is why you shouldn't buy donuts from Dunkin Donuts," it has been viewed 69,000 times on that page alone.

"We are aware of the video and take matters like this very seriously," a spokesman for Dunkin Donuts told WCVB-TV News. "The actions in a video seen at a franchised Dunkin Donuts restaurant are absolutely inconsistent with our strict food safety standards and requirements."

The incident reportedly happened in November.
