Thimble Pleasures Quilt Guild is sponsoring its 8th Biennial Quilt Show at the Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School. This show will feature a display of 200 quilts made by members from Milford and the Blackstone Valley, along with 14 quilts in a youth quilt exhibit.
The special exhibit for Ovarian Cancer Awareness and Research will focus on Flip Flops for women and children and have been decorated, sewn, embellished, and created by members of the guild. These flip flops will be offered for sale (donation) on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. All proceeds from this exhibit will be donated to Ovations for the Cure (www.ovationsforthecure.org) and Teal Toes (www.tealtoes.org) .
The show will also feature a boutique with quilts, quilt-related items, patterns, books, magazines and more. There is also a Silent Auction of items made and donated by members. These items include quilts, fabric bowls, wall hangings, handknit socks, etc. The guild's two wall-size raffle quilts feature Massachusetts historical landmarks
replicated from photographs.
