Concussion Information Night

Milford High School, as part of its commitment to the safety of its student-athletes, is hosting a free “Concussion Information Night” for all parents, students and interested members of the community.  Dr. Neal McGrath, Ph.D, of Sports Concussions New England, will be conducting the presentation and will discuss all aspects of concussions, the effects, treatment/management, as well as the topic of ImPact testing.  ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) is the first, most-widely used computerized concussion evaluation system. ImPACT was developed to provide useful information to assist qualified practitioners in making sound return to play decisions following concussions.

Dr. McGrath is a well-known neuropsychologist in the Boston area and has more than 25 years of clinical experience.  He specializes in the evaluation and rehabilitation of traumatic brain injuries.  Dr. McGrath is New England’s first Credentialed ImPACT© Consultant.  A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
