Fun in the Kitchen is a four-session, guided cooking class for children with special needs, aged 14 or older, who would benefit from a supportive, social environment.
The participants will work together to make a meal and socialize. These events will be held on Friday nights, beginning Oct. 21, at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Milford.
Participants should register for all sessions, to allow them to build skills in the kitchen.

Special Communities, which has organized this course, was formed in 2010 with the mission that families with individuals with special needs would work collectively to create opportunities that address the needs of the family, the individual, as well as the community by sharing resources, developing programs, and supporting and encouraging the use of existing programs. The goal is to collaborate with other agencies in the community, including local school systems.
