Examining the Tribe's / Foxwoods Finance Department

Deb Mallon - the tribes Chief financial officer (CFO)  Does she have a CPA?  what experience did she have prior to Foxwoods?  What qualifies her to run the finance department of a billion dollar a year business.  She is also in charge of the federal grant funds.  When did she take over the roll of CFO for the tribe and when did all the financial problems start.  This women runs the finance department with an iron fist, nothing happens without her approval, especially issues regarding tribal council expenses.  Perhaps the feds should investigate her next.

Donna Capoverde, Tribe's controller - ignored Tribal Council Resolutions (TCR), tribal law which seems to have allowed Michael Thomas to steal from the tribe.  It is her responsibility to ensure these policies are in place and working to protect the tribes assets.  Is she a CPA?  Her husband runs the Foxwoods Development Corp (FDC) which by all accounts has failed at every project it has undertaken.  Yet with all the downsizing in the organization he still has a job, wonder who is protecting his position.  Does not appear this person didi not performed their duties, ignored their responsibilities and knowingly allowed for theft to occur._________________________________________________

Perhaps the tribe should look at the people running their finance department, it does not look as if they have the tribes best interest at heart, only their own.   Looks as if the tribe's finance department needs a restructuring and audit

If these are the people running the tribes finances and it appears they can not be trusted, how can you trust anything the tribe, it's consultants or spokes people tell you.

THis is just our opinion based on the facts we have gathered.
