Firefighter Injured at Duplex Blaze in Milford

MILFORD, MA—A firefighter was injured Friday while responding to a fire at a Milford home.

An attic fire erupted at a duplex 2 Hillside Ave. around 11 a.m., producing heavy smoke but extinguished quickly, reports WCVB-TV.

The ceiling in one of the bedrooms reportedly fell on one of the firefighters and buried him in materials and sheetrock, and was helped out by other firefighters.

An HVAC company had been working in the house, but it is unclear if it had any connection to the fire, reports Milford Daily News. The firefighter was seen being helped out of the home, and then put on a stretcher and sent to Milford Hospital.
