Fundraiser For Milford 'Gardens Of Hope' Effort Coming Up

Local groups are in need of supplies to create the gardens with the goal of ending the stigma of addiction.

MILFORD, MA — Local groups organized around helping people recover from addiction will hold a fundraiser soon for supplies to create Gardens of Hope around Milford.

Milford-based Community Impact and the Regional Substance Navigation Program hope to create several Gardens of Hope as a sign of "our community joining together to end the stigma of addiction."

The Aug. 8 fundraiser is seeking items like gardening tools, soil, mulch, plants, and gloves. The fundraiser comes just before the Aug. 31 International Overdose Awareness Day.
