MILFORD, MA- Funeral and wake services will be held this week for Aaron Zenus, the 12-year-old Milford boy who died last week due to flu complications.In an email to parents, Milford Superintendent Kevin McIntyre announced the details of the funeral and wake services. The wake will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roney Funeral Home, located at 152 Worcester Street in North Grafton.The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Milford. McIntyre closed his email by saying "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Zenus family during this difficult time."Zenus was a seventh-grade student at Stacey Middle School and the first confirmed flu-related death in Massachusetts this season. For many years, the Claflin Hill Youth Symphonies gave students throughout the MetroWest and Greater Milford region the opportunity to perform serious orchestral repertoire, grow as musicians, and build lasting friendships. Many of those former students are now music educators and professional musicians themselves — and several are returning to help lead this exciting new chapter.
