Hopedale Library Gives Handmade Items To Military: Photo

The gloves, hats and scarves will go to active members of the military via a Milford nonprofit.

MILFORD, MA — The Bancroft Library in Hopedale recently made a donation to a Milford nonprofit to support troops serving overseas.

Thanks To Yanks founder Michael Shain recently accepted a donation gloves, hats and scarves handmade by local residents. The items will be given to military families in need, according to Shain.

Thanks To Yanks, is a non-political 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support military members, veterans and their families. Founded in 2006, it began as an annual Tribute Dinner to recognize the sacrifices military families endured and to honor the heroes and victims of the 9/11 attacks.
