Hopkinton Man Identified in Deadly Incident at Milford Hotel

Police have released the identity of the man killed during a gun fight at a Milford Hotel on Valentine's Day.

A Hopkinton man is dead after a gun battle on Saturday morning at the Holiday Inn Express in Miford.

Around 10 a.m. Saturday morning, a shooting was reported at the hotel located on Fortune Boulevard involving Thomas Coburn III, 51, of Hopkinton, Christian Nealon, 48, of Hopkinton, and a woman. Both men were armed with guns.

Investigators tells WCVB that Coburn was declared dead at the scene after shots were fired in the parking lot of the hotel.

After shots were fired, Nealon and the woman went to the hotel lobby to report the shooting and get Nealon medical help while Coburn was found by officers in his car with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Worcester County DA told WBZ that the incident was “an apparent act of domestic violence.”

Nealon was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center and then to UMass Medical Center in Worcester to be treated for serious injuries.
