I DID IT AGAIN! Usa Junior Olympics bound!
Milford resident, Brendan Seitz, qualified for a 1st round pick to the USA Junior Olympics for Rifle Shooting.
Rifle Shooting? How did Brendan get involved in that?
"I can not believe that just 3 years ago my Dad brought me to Maspenock Rod & Gun Club to check out the junior rifle program. Manny (my coach) placed a rifle in my hands and with limited direction told me to shoot the black dot. I did! Not exactly with the accuracy that I shoot today but I hit the target! He told me to do it again. I did! Then he proceeded to tell me that he thinks I can get a college scholarship for rifle shooting. I am only in the 10th grade...I am working on that."
Brendan is part of a Junior Rifle team that is ranked #1 in the state of Massachusetts. His team consists of Coach Manny Snyderman, Coach David, Coach Paul, Coach Chris and four competitive shooters Brendan Seitz of Milford, Alyia Butt, Christine Peters, and Austin Lee. There are also four new shooters to the program that have just started learning the fundamentals of precision rifle. The competitive shooters travel to many states to compete. Since December they have traveled to Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Hampshire for matches. Brendan is looking for donations to help support his dreams.
