ICYMI: Milford Woman Wants to Give Brother Her Kidney
Christopher Nicholas desperately needs a kidney, and his sister is working to give hers to him.

MILFORD, MA—Christopher Nicholas, like so many, is hoping to get on a transplant list. When he was three, he had a liver transplant. And three months ago, he found out he needs another transplant, this time a kidney. Christopher is in Stage 5 rental failure, the years of medications doing damage to his kidneys.
And his sister, Samantha, wants to give him that much-needed kidney.
"I am his best match as of right now, and when he is finally placed on the list I can start my evaluations to see if my tissue matches him," Samantha told Patch. "If all goes well, then we will schedule our surgery."

Massachusetts General Hospital is working toward getting Christopher official on the list, a process that can take several months. The process includes testing, evaluations, a psych evaluation and other testing, all of which has been completed.
Christopher was also recently denied worker's compensation, and is struggling to pay his bills.
So far, $900 of a requested $5,000 has been raised by family and friends.
