ICYMI: Napoleon, Prezo's, Golden House: Milford's Health Inspections

MILFORD, MA—The following inspections were supplied by the Milford Board of Health:

• Pizza 85 130 Cedar St. 12-14-16 Violation here is the need to clean the grouting above the three bay sink.
• Pizza Chef 179 Main St. 12-14-16 Violations here include the following. Cutting board in good condition but store in a safer place not between sink faucet and wall due to splash hazard, need to clean the rim of the large mixing bowl otherwise it was clean (this was being done during the inspection), appetizers in the Kenmore freezer need to be covered during storage, and utensils in the plastic container need to stored with the handles facing the user.
• Milford Pizza Palace 8 Beach St. 12-7-16 Violations here include the following. Close the bag of flour under the stainless steel work table, and do not store the green cutting board between the faucet and wall due to splash hazard.
• Napoleon 2 Beach St. 12-5-16 Violations here include the following. In the back storage room a bag of potatoes cannot be stored on the floor, pan of chicken wings that have already cooled to safe holding temps must now be covered in the walk in cooler, clean the flat top grill, and clean and organize the storage shelves under the food slicer counter.
• Papa Gino’s 42 Cape Rd. 12-5-16 Violations here are no paper towel for employee hand sink way in the back, and clean interior of stainless steel draw way in the back where utensils and equipment are stored.
• Nelli’s Sandwich Shop 113 Central St. 12-6-16 Violations here include the following. Do not store box of potatoes on the floor, back storage room in need of some basic organizing/cleaning, and clean and sanitize the manual can opener.
• Golden House 93 Water St. 12-7-16 Violations here include the following. Wok stations surfaces need to be cleaned, missing two overhead hood filters, missing a hood filter over the fryers, and clean the floor under the wok stations really good including the large drip tray under the wok stations. Re-inspection scheduled. Re-inspected 12-15-16 and found all violations corrected.
• Stop & Shop 196 E. Main 12-8-16 Violations here include the need to be sure knives in the knife rack in the deli prep room are clean and sanitized before storage, rear plexiglass door at holding area is to be repaired, and knives in the main deli prep room are to be clean and sanitized before storage.
• Prezo’s 299.5 E. Main St. 12-8-16 Violations here include the following. Keep outside dumpster covers closed, protect ice scoop for the large ice machine do not leave it out exposed to dust or dirt contamination, 2 foods not covered in 2 door cooler opposite the main line, knives are to be cleaned and sanitized before storage in the knife rack. Critical violation which required immediate correction was lack of hot water in all three in the restrooms. This required next day correction. Re-inspected on 12-9-16 and found critical violation corrected and more violations corrected.
• Shaws 1 Prospect St. 12-14-16 Violations here include the following. Clean out the interior of the stainless steel draw in the produce prep room where utensils and equipment are stored(violation was being corrected during inspection), clean the exterior esp. the top of the small chest freezer at the seafood area and install a visible thermometer, clean the interior of the white pail used to store utensils next to the steamer in the seafood area, and floor areas in most back room dept could use a sweeping damp mopping cleaning.
• Subway 9 Medway Rd. 12-16-16 Bag of chicken product has fallen onto the floor in the walk in freezer, and clean the floor under the soda system.
• Subway 94 Prospect St. 12-16-16 Clean top interior of the microwave oven.
• Sal’s Pizza 206 E. Main St. 12-16-16 Need to clean area under the prep sink including the legs of the sink, clean food debris at the mop sink (done during inspection), clean Marlite walls about 1 to 2 feet up in most surrounding of the store, and clean floor of the outside walk in cooler.
