Fund Established for Milford Family That Lost Home to Fire

A fund has been established for the Irwin family.

A fund has been established at the Milford National Bank for donations to benefit the Irwin family after a fast moving fire struck the Salvation Army’s parsonage at 124 Highland Street on Easter morning. David and Jessica Irwin, Majors at the Salvation Army, their four children and the family dog escaped injury but lost everything except the clothes on their backs. According to Fire Chief Touhey “the residence will likely be demolished”. The Irwin’s are currently living in a hotel.

The Irwin Family Fire Fund was started with an initial donation of $500 from the Milford Rotary Club where Major Irwin is an active member and was matched with a $500 donation from the Milford National Bank.

Checks donated to the Fund should be payable to “The Irwin Family Fire Fund” and mailed to “ Milford National Bank, Attn: The Irwin Family Fire Fund, 300 East Main Street, Milford. MA. 01757”.
