For those unable to attend the forum this past Tuesday, it was a phenomenal event.

Along with everything else we already knew about the associated dangers, after listening to the information presented by the speakers at the forum, there is no way in a million years that any reasonable and responsible person would want to allow recreational marijuana facilities in Milford.

Attention: PARENTS and TEACHERS.

You as a group are among the most respected and responsible in our town. Together, you will likely have the biggest impact on the voting results. And obviously, you have the most to lose if this referendum vote does not succeed. Along with the other responsible adults in Milford - if enough of you don't get out and vote ‘YES’ on the 19th, the town will be forced to deal with the open sale of another extremely dangerous and addictive drug.

And, given Milford’s central geographical location and major highway access, we will certainly become a key trafficking destination.

Let’s not forget - marijuana possession is still a federal offense.

Every vote is extremely important. NOT VOTING is equivalent to a VOTE ALLOWING recreational marijuana shops into Milford. If you haven't already done so, you owe it to yourself to review the information posted on the Milford CARES website, especially the video of the forum this past Tuesday.

This group did a truly excellent job – first class with some very critical information.

Stop the insanity.

Vote ‘YES’ on Sept. 19.

Mike Barton, Milford
