Man Dead, Woman Hospitalized In Milford Incident

MILFORD, MA — A man is dead and woman was critically injured in an incident at a Milford home on Monday, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early.

Police received the call from a screaming woman at a South Bow Street home just after 9 a.m.

Officers found a man in the basement with stab wounds who was declared dead. He suffered a single stab wound to the chest, Early said.

A woman had suffered stab wounds and was taken by medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center. She suffered critical injuries.

The man and woman were husband and wife. Early said it's believed this was an "isolated, tragic domestic incident."

The identities of the couple have not been released.

The couple had four children who are now in the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services.

The investigation is ongoing.
