Man Live-Streamed Racist Prank Call To Vet Hotline: Milford PD
The man told the hotline he was going to kill himself while making "disparaging comments" about the staff members' race and ethnicity.

MILFORD, MA — A Fall river man arrested by Milford police on Wednesday faces several charges including civil rights violations and making terroristic threats. Police said the man made a prank call to a veteran's hotline and claimed he was going to commit suicide, but while on the phone made "disparaging comments" about the hotline staff member's race and ethnicity.
Police said Kenneth Fillion, 37, of Fall River, called the hotline on Wednesday from a woman's phone in Milford. Fillion knew the woman and live-streamed the prank call with his phone to an app called "Live Me," according to police. Police traced the call to an apartment on Senate Road.
Fillion told police that when he got an operator of Indian descent he said, "If I don't get a white person to talk to, all you're gonna hear is bang bang." Police said Fillion then hung up and did not answer the operator's 4 to 5 calls back, leading the operator to call police.

Police said that when they arrived at the apartment they spoke with Fillion, along with the woman who owned the phone and another elderly woman, and that Fillion was consistently uncooperative. He repeatedly gave a fake name, Justin Case, and would not disclose his birthday so that police could verify whether he was a licensed gun owner.
Police said Fillion told them he had called several other hotlines for his 'comedy videos' and never received a police response. The officer told him that suicide is no laughing matter and that 22 veterans take their own lives every day. Fillion's response was, "Sorry," according to the report.

After repeatedly refusing to give his real name and other information, Fillion was arrested, police said. When he was booked police learned his real name and birthday and found three active warrants for his arrest.
He was charged with the three warrants along with lying to an officer, false report, threatening to commit a crime, civil rights violations and making terroristic threats. Bail was set at $10,815.
