MILFORD, MA — A Milford High School student was one of two men arrested this week in connection to an Oct. 6 shooting that left one person injured, Milford police said on Thursday morning.

At around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a call from a man who said he had been shot while buying marijuana at 48 North Bow Street. During the drug deal, two men robbed the victims of cash, police said. One of the robbers used a handgun to hit one of the victims, and the gun went off. The bullet lodged in a seat belt in a car, but fragments hit one of the victims, who was treated at Milford Regional Medical Center.

On Monday, police arrested Christian Estrada at Milford High School on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and unarmed robbery. A second man, David Abrego, turned himself in to police on Wednesday on similar charges.
