Maspenock Junior Rifle Silhouette Match Fundraiser

Date: Sunday April 12, 2015
Where: Maspenock Indoor Rifle Range
Time: Registration at 9:30 am, Match from 10:00am to 1 pm
Cost: $5.00 for each 20 shot round

Shooters will be instructed by the junior rifle team members on the complete operation of the club’s precision air rifles. Rifles can be adjusted to fit each shooter regardless of shooter’s size. Pellets will be provided.
Course of Fire: Shooters will have a single sighter bull for a 3 minute sighting in period.
Shooters will have 10 minutes after the sighting period to shoot at reduced
graphic pictures of chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams on a single paper
target from 10 meters away.
`On each paper target there are 5 of each silhouette of each animal type.
`A total of 20 shots will be taken at each single paper target.
` A hit is scored when a target is penetrated anywhere in the animal.
` Duplicate hits on one animal will only count once.
`This is an offhand match. There will be a class for shooters over 62 years of age allowing them to shoot from the bench off their elbows (no rests, bipods or bags allowed)
` Shooters will be allowed to shoot their own air rifles, .177 caliber only, if desired and scopes (any magnification) will be allowed.
Relays: Shooters, after paying their entry fee, will be instructed on the gun’s operation and set-up to fit if necessary. There will be a 3 minute sighting period and then the 10 minute match. Total match time will be 13 minutes.
Awards: Bragging Rights to the top 3 individuals in the following categories
Open sights: Juniors, (under 21), Senior Men, Senior Woman
Scope Sights: Offhand Shooter, Bench Shooter
All proceeds will be given to the club treasurer to support the junior rifle program!
