Mendon-Upton School District To Hold Vaping Hearing

The Mendon-Upton school district will host an informational meeting on vaping and its effects on teens.

It's hard to walk down the street now without seeing someone vaping. The thick smoke and scented flavors are hard to miss, and many parents worry they might be difficult for their teens to resist.

In an effort to educate the parents in the Mendon-Upton area, the district is hosting an informational meeting about vaping and e-cigarette use among teens. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4th at the Nipmuc High School PDC.

The presentation, "The New Look of Nicotine Addiction," itself highlights what about vapes and e-cigarettes that scare parents most: that they take the harsh chemicals out of traditional cigarettes to make the product more appealing but leave in the addictive nicotine.
