Milford 2020 Election: Nominations Begin Jan. 6

MILFORD, MA — If you're thinking about running for office in Milford in 2020, it's time to get your campaign started. The town will begin accepting nominations from candidates on Jan. 6 to appear on the April 7 ballot.

There are a total of 20 seats up for election in 2020, including two Town Meeting member seats.

Here are the seats up for election in 2020, according to Clerk Amy Hennessy Neves. These are all three-year terms except for the Town Meeting seats, and the Housing Authority seats, which are 4 and 5-year terms.

To qualify to run, all candidates must be a registered voter in Milford. Candidates for office must get 50 signatures ftom registered Milford voters. Town Meeting member candidates must gather 30 signatures from voters in their own precinct.
