A fifth-grader at Milford’s Stacy Middle School was given the OK to return to class after originally receiving a two-day suspension for pointing an imaginary gun at students.

According to Fox Boston, Nickolas Taylor was suspended last Friday after he made his hand into the shape of an “imaginary ray gun” and pointed it at other students in the cafeteria. Two students reported the action to school administrators, and Taylor received a conduct slip noting that he had made “threats.”

A statement from the school to Fox Boston noted that the suspension was “consistent was other incidents of a threatening nature.”

Taylor’s father received a note from the school explaining that the 10-year-old made what was considered “a threat” when he pointed a gun ”made from his hand” at two girls in the lunch line and then “blew on his fingers as if to cool off the barrel,” WHDH reports.
