Milford Ballot Takes Shape Ahead Of 2026 Town Election With Single Contested Race

The ballot can still change until March 5 at 5 p.m., the last day to withdraw.

MILFORD, MA — Nominations papers for the 2026 Annual Town Election in Milford were due on Feb. 13. Here's who is on the ballot to date.

Milford residents will head to the polls in April to vote on several Elected Officials positions, and 20 people have filed papers for those seats. Plus, four people filed for Town Meeting positions.

It appears that the only contested race will be for one open seat on the Board of Health. Three candidates, Scott Vecchiola, Rosemary Cerqueira, and Diana M. Haynes, will vie for the position with a three-year term.

Below is the current list of candidates who will appear on the April ballot, shared by the Town Clerk's office with Patch. However, the ballot can still change until 5 p.m. on Mar. 5, the last day to withdraw.

While only four people filed for Town Meeting positions, there were open positions in all six precincts.

Nomination papers to run for office in the 2026 Annual Town Election became available last month at the Milford Town Clerk's Office.

For Elected Officials positions, papers must have had 50 or more legible signatures, while new Town Meeting Member positions must have 30 or more signatures. Those must be within one's own precinct.

The Annual Town Election will take place on April 7.
