On Saturday, the Milford Public Schools celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Woodland Elementary School.
There was a brief welcome from Aldo Cecchi, Chair of the Woodland School Building Committee, remarks from Jack McCarthy, Executive Director of the Massachusetts School Building Committee as well as Michael Walsh, Chair of the Milford School Committee.
Members of the Milford Board of Selectmen, Milford School Committee, MBSA, Woodland Elementary School Building Committee, Senator Fattman, Representative John Fernandes, Superintendent Dr. Robert A. Tremblay along with Woodland Elementary administration were all on hand with their shovels for the event. The new school building is expected to be completed in late summer 2016.
