Milford Cultural Council Seeks Two New Members
The Milford Cultural Council decides how to fund arts, cultural and humanities programs around town.

MILFORD, MA — A key town organization that oversees arts and culture programs around Milford is in need of two new members. Applications for the two open seats are due by April 8.

The Milford Cultural Council currently has two open seats and is encouraging Milford residents who are interested in volunteering to serve on the council to submit a talent bank application.

The talent bank application is available on the town of Milford website. Completed applications should be returned to the Town Administrator’s office in Town Hall. Applications can be mailed or left in one of the drop boxes at Town Hall, 52 Main St. Applications can also be emailed to the town administrator’s office at lpires@townofmilford.com.
The Cultural Council is asking that all applications be returned to Town Hall before April 8. The council will review applications and make their recommendations to the Select Board, which is the appointing authority.

The MCC seeks to promote excellence, inclusion, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and sciences to foster a rich cultural experience for all Milford residents. Current members include: Geri Eddins, Chairperson; Sandra Buckley, Vice Chairperson; Martin Montoya, Treasurer; Nicole Romiglio, Secretary; C.C. Chapman; Jenny Lyons; Aboighasem Moazeni; Noressa Santomenna; Patricia Solomon; Michael Visconti; and Sara Vono-Caires.
The MCC welcomes ideas, recommendations, and feedback regarding programs and events funded or sponsored by the council. Interested Milford residents are encouraged to attend meetings, which are held every third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. typically in Room 14 of Town Hall. Comments and requests for information can be emailed to the council at culturalcouncil@townofmilford.com.
