Milford Designated MVP Community For Fight Against Climate Change
The designation makes the town eligible for specific grants and increased standing for state funding.
MILFORD, MA- The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs officially designated Milford as a Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) community.
This was the first year of the program, which was established by Governor Baker to address climate change in the state.
Milford was given a $20,000 grant from the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs which was used to complete the Community Resiliency Planning Process. The process examines the town's vulnerabilities and strengths to climate change and builds an action plan based around them.
