Milford Driver Involved In Fatal Collision In Andover: Police
A 78-year-old from Andover died in the Wednesday collision, according to police.
MILFORD, MA — A 21-year-old woman from Milford hit and killed a 78-year-old pedestrian in Andover on Wednesday, according to police.
The collision happened around 4:20 p.m. near the intersection of Whittier Street, about a mile from the Merrimack College campus. The woman was taken by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
No charges have been filed. The Milford woman, whose identity was not released, remained on the scene after the crash, police said.

The pedestrian was unconscious when first responders arrived on the scene, according to scanner reports. Rescue workers originally called for a MedFlight helicopter to transport the victim from the scene to a Boston hospital. The helicopter was diverted to Lawrence General Hospital, where the victim was taken by ambulance.
The victim was not immediately identified.
