Mass. Family Whose Son Was Killed by Illegal Immigrant Supports Trump
"If Donald Trump were president in 2011, our son, Matthew Denice, and other Americans, would be alive today."

MILFORD, MA — A group of "Angel Moms" was invited on stage by Donald Trump at his rally in Arizona on Wednesday night, and included was a family of a Milford man killed by an undocumented immigrant in 2011, reports The Boston Globe.
Maureen and Michael Maloney's son Matthew Denice was killed in 2011 when Nicolas Guaman, an Ecuadorian immigrant, hit and dragged Denice to his death. Guaman was sentenced to up to 14 years.
The family spoke with others in backing the Republican presidential nominee's immigration plan, with Michael stating that "if Donald Trump were president in 2011, our son, Matthew Denice, and other Americans, would be alive today."

According to Milford police, Denice had the right-of-way as he was traveling north on Congress Street, when he was struck by a pickup truck, which ran a stop sign.
Guaman, 34, of Cherry Street, Milford, was charged with motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation, leaving the scene of personal injury and death, possession of open container of alcohol in vehicle, failure to stop for police, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop or yield, resisting arrest and wanton or reckless conduct creating risk to a child. He also had a 4-year-old child in the vehicle, said police.

Denice was reportedly dragged for about a quarter of a mile up Congress and Fayette streets, and at least 15 people had witnessed the events.
Guaman appealed his case in May, getting one of the charges removed, but all other convictions stuck, with Guaman's original sentence remaining, reports MassLive.
On the Facebook page Justice for Matt, it was stated that Guaman's attorney Ethan Stiles plans to appeal the appellate court's decision to the Supreme Judicial Court.
"Your tax payor dollars are being spent on Guaman continually appealing his manslaughter conviction," reads the post. "There were at least 20 people that witnessed Guaman dragging Matthew to his death! It's already a perpetual hell living without Matthew and now this worthless, murdering, monster continues to inflict mortal pain by ripping the wounds open with his appeals. He and his lawyer are going to keep us in court until he is released! I am done playing nice!"
