Milford Field Of Flags Returns For 3 Holidays In 2022
This year's display of flags coincides with the newly upgraded Draper Memorial Park downtown.

MILFORD, MA — An annual tribute to veterans in Milford will return during three holidays in 2022, helping to highlight a newly renovated downtown park.
The annual Field of Flags display, a joint effort by Citizens for Milford and the Salvation Army, will return for Memorial Day, July 4 and Veterans Day this year. Residents and businesses can sponsor flags to fly in Draper Memorial Park near the three patriotic holidays.
"Each flag honors the heroism of our many local veterans and active duty service members. Our goal is to have every one of the flags renewed and to gather enough new flag sponsorships so that we will be installing even more flags this spring," Field of Flags Chair Peter Scandone said in a news release.

Draper Memorial Park, the town's main war memorial, underwent a renovation over the past few years, and debuted with new lights and other features during Milford's 2021 Veterans Day parade.
Anyone interested in participating in this year's Field of Flags can sponsor a 3 by 5 foot flag for $40. Each flag also includes a card honoring a specific military service member. Email citizensformilford@gmail.com for a sponsorship form, or print on out from the group's website.
