Milford Fire Union Selling Stickers For Firefighter Who Died
Milford firefighter Patrick Evans, 37, died unexpectedly in December. Milford is raising money for a memorial.

MILFORD, MA — The Milford Permanent Firefighters Association union is selling stickers to raise money for a memorial to firefighter Patrick Evans who died unexpectedly in December. Evans, 37, was a 13-year member of the Milford department, and had also served as a 911 dispatcher in Hopedale.
The $5 stickers feature Evans' name, the date of his death — Dec. 15, 2019 — and a black and red band, which symbolizes a fallen firefighter. The union had about 100 stickers to sell as of Wednesday morning, and they can be purchased at the main fire station, 21 Birch St.
The Worcester County District Attorney has said that Evans died an unattended death, which typically means there was nothing criminal about it. He left behind a wife and two children.
