Milford Firefighters Get Donation Of Coffee Named After Them

Thanks To Yanks founder Mike Shain collaborated with Red Barn Roasters to make coffee for local firefighters.

MILFORD, MA — The founder of a Milford nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans has turned his attention to local firefighters.

Mike Shain, founder of Thanks To Yanks, recently collaborated with Upton-based Red Barn Coffee Roasters to create a Milford Fire Department brand of coffee. Shain then donated bags of the "Milford Firehouse Roast" to local stations.

Shain has an existing relationship with Red Barn. The roaster's co-founder, Mark Verrochi, is a retired Navy special operations officer. Shain has sent Red Barn coffee to veterans serving abroad as part of the Thanks To Yanks mission.

The coffee donation to Milford firefighters was done to celebrate "their service and dedication to the community," Shain said.
