Milford High School Students to Host Travel Show
The show is scheduled for May 6 at the Milford Doubletree Hotel.

Milford High School students enrolled in the Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) Program have partnered with Atlas Travel and the Doubletree Hotel to bring area residents a free travel trade show to be held Wednesday, May 6th at the Doubletree Hotel, located at 11 Beaver St. in Milford. The event will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Guests who attend the travel trade show will have the opportunity to book a land or sea vacation at a discounted price. Vendors include, but are not limited to Disney Adventures, Disney Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Delta Vacations, Celebrity Cruise Lines, Globus Journeys, Classic Vacations and more.
The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program is the first of its kind at a non-vocational public high school in Massachusetts. Currently, seventeen students are enrolled in the two-year program where they work alongside industry leaders such as Atlas Travel and Doubletree Hotels to learn about the tourism industry first-hand. “The significance of this event is that we’re taking much of what the students have learned so far and collaborating with our two partners to make this show work,” says Mrs. Katie Maloney, Coordinator of the HTM program. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to gain real-world experience in the planning, execution and marketing of a regional event like this and for area residents to get a great price on a dream vacation.”
