MILFORD, MA — Milford's new annual cold weather homeless shelter is seeking volunteers for the upcoming winter.

The local shelter, Pathway to a Better Life, opened before winter in 2019. The shelter typically operates during overnight hours when temperatures drop below 20 degrees.

At the beginning of last winter, the shelter was having a difficult time signing up volunteers for late-night work during the pandemic. The shelter needs about four people per night, according to organizer Lisa Trusas.
