Milford Homeowner Puts Out Fire In Own Shed
Firefighters responded to the Woodland Avenue home only to find the fire was already out.
MILFORD, MA — A fast-acting Milford homeowner on Wednesday was able to extinguish a fire moments before firefighters arrived on the scene.
Firefighters were alerted to a fire in a shed at a home near the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Street and Woodland Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. A neighbor had dialed 911 to report the engulfed structure, and was unsure if anyone was home.
Milford firefighters and police raced to the scene, but just as firefighters were at a nearby hydrant, the homeowner extinguished the fire. Firefighters stayed on the scene to help mop up the scene, however.
