The description led police to Teixeira's home where his mother opened the door and brought Teixeira downstairs. Teixeira confirmed that he was in the Ravenna home but denied stealing anything and said he was only there to speak with the homeowner's son.
According to the police report Teixeira said he knew who broke into the home but didn't want to snitch. Police did not find any of the stolen items in Teixeira's home. He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering.
