MILFORD, MA — A mundane stop to fill up his gas tank turned out to be very fortuitous for one Milford man.

Milford resident Joshua Chunis stopped at a gas station in Worcester to fill up his wife's car earlier this month and decided to grab a $20 “$10,000,000 Lucky Bucks” scratch ticket while he was there. The ticket delivered a $1 million prize, according to lottery officials.

Chunis opted to take the $650,000 lump sum, which he plans to use for some home renovations. The Sunoco where he bought the ticket along Southwest Cutoff (Route 20) in Worcester will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the scratcher.
