Milford Medical Center Seeks Companions For End-Of-Life Care
Milford Regional Medical Center is accepting applications for the "No One Dies Alone" program through the end of January.
MILFORD, MA — Milford Regional Medical Center is looking for people willing to volunteer their time to spend with patients who are close to death. The hospital's "No One Dies Alone" program provides support for people in the last day or two of life.
The hospital is accepting applications for the program through Jan. 30. Volunteers must be comforting and compassionate, and be willing to spend time with people who would otherwise die alone.
Volunteers will be screened and trained before entering the program. To volunteer for "No One Dies Alone," contact Volunteer Services Director Elaine Willey at ewilley@milreg.org.
